Stuart Millward, CEO Satsafe Technologies & Sam Li, TfGM

Stuart-MillwardStuart Millward is the founding director of an award-winning InsurTech Company developing innovative, GPS-enabled safety, security and business management solutions for insurers and fleet managers. Stuart spent 12 years working in a technical corps of the British Army and left as a captain in The Parachute Regiment.

Satsafe has recently completed a 12 month incubation programme with The European Space Agency during which time the company developed a telematics application based on increasingly popular dash-cam technology.

Sam-LiSam Li is an innovation officer at Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). He has experience in development and implementation of innovative transportation technologies and currently serves as transport thematic lead on the CityVerve smart cities demonstrator project for Greater Manchester.

Sam is working in partnership with range of SME partners, including SatSafe, to deploy meaningful demonstrators for the people of Greater Manchester – with huge potential to be scaled and replicated in cities all around the world.

Satsafe is lead partner for road safety in CityVerve’ – the UK’s city demonstrator project for the ‘Internet of Things’ where, over a two year period, Satsafe is demonstrating the commercial, societal and environmental benefits of next-generation telematics across different use-cases: the young, elderly and vulnerable drivers, taxi, minibus and fleet.

Stuart will use his presentation to share his experiences and challenges of working with a large consortium as well as outlining some of the innovative aspects of the CityVerve project.
