This workshop will build on the Fringe presentation outlining a new, accredited and Government supported child seat training programme. Following multiple pilots this training has proven to significantly increase confidence and competence among public/private sector practitioners working in the field of child car seat safety.

It will provide a unique opportunity to understand the safety benefits of extended rear facing by experiencing an innovative virtual reality film, produced by FirstCar, which supports this training programme.

Janis James is CEO of Good Egg Safety CIC, a multi-award winning family safety brand with a tight focus on improving safety on the road.

They have a particular passion for driving down child occupant casualties by driving up standards, in collaboration with Government, leading charities and industry.

As a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), they have no vested interests and all funding is channelled back into providing the most up-to-date resources, training, short films, websites and social media to raise public awareness of key road safety issues.
