An update on the use of AI-driven technology for distracted driving and seatbelt monitoring

12.00 - 13.00 • Thursday 7 November

Acusensus' 'Heads Up' system has been trialled by 17 police regions, with a wealth of data being captured around underlying driver behaviours and how new technology is being applied to detect and deter bad driving.

Several English police regions have now actively enforced using the data collected by the system, proving that this is a mature, fit for purpose solution. This UK experience is supported by further evidence from Australia, where five states are now running major programmes using this technology.

A glimpse will also be given for future applications, including detection of impaired driving due to drugs and alcohol.
