Conducting a real-world road safety trial – the good, the bad and the ugly

In this presentation, Tanya Fosdick will pick up on some of the key themes presented in Nicola Wass’s presentation which preceded this one. This session will dig deeper into key practical lessons the project team derived from the experience of delivering an on-road road safety trial, sharing do’s and don’ts with others who are seeking to measure safety outcomes in the real world.

Without giving away the lessons learned, the presentation will discuss five key learning points: Collaboration and resilience; Why not lab testing? Picking the right places; Moving from 'data-to-measure' to 'data-to-understand'; and selecting the correct outcome measures
