This presentation will comprise a brief history of passive safety and refer to the current product types/classifications and where these should be provided on both the high-speed (M&APTR) and local road networks.

ARTSM is represented by Ian McDonald, National Sales Manger UK & Ireland for Pole Products – Hydro Extrusion BV.

Ian has worked in the Highways Industry since 2008 and has an in-depth knowledge of the design, manufacture and installation of road side structures, and in that time has developed a passion for innovation in road safety.

Ian has played a significant role in the development, progression, and promotion of passive safety on the UK road network. He actively participates in ARTSM Working Group 1 for Passive Safety and is committed to raising the national profile of passive safety and furthering the training and knowledge of industry professionals through the work of ARTSM.
