Small choices, big consequences: how THINK! is tackling drink and drug driving

Ahead of the launch of a major new campaign to tackle drug driving, the THINK! team will share the insights and strategy behind the campaign, highlighting how you can support it in your area.

The presentation will also feature an update on the THINK! ‘drink a little, risk a lot’ campaign. This will cover a look back at the summer burst, including activity targeting festivalgoers, an update on the THINK! 0% partnership platform, and planned activity in the lead up to the festive season.


Max Malagoni, THINK! Marketing Team Lead, DfT

Max Malagoni has worked in Government communications and marketing for over 10 years, specialising in planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns to educate, motivate and encourage behaviour change amongst a wide range of audiences.

He is currently a Marketing Team Lead at the Department for Transport, responsible for delivering the long-running THINK! road safety campaign. Previous to this he was at the Department for Work and Pensions where he led on marketing campaigns to boost workforce participation following the Covid pandemic.

Rachel Smith, THINK! Marketing Team Lead, DfT

Rachel Smith has worked in local and central Government communications for over 10 years, delivering awareness raising and behaviour change campaigns including on children’s social care, volunteering, and inspiring more young people to consider careers in engineering.

She is currently a Marketing Team Lead at the Department for Transport, and since 2017 has led THINK road safety campaigns on drink driving, speeding and distraction.
