This presentation explores the role of lower speed limits in achieving Vision Zero, London’s strategy to eliminate all road deaths and serious injuries by 2041. 

Transport for London will present the recent report that analyses 30 years of data on 20mph schemes on London borough roads and compares it against the pan-London background trend to show the effectiveness of 20mph schemes by eliminating potential impact from other road safety interventions. The presentation will then cover additional benefits of 20mph speed limits.
