Collingwood Learning
Collingwood Learning is dedicated to creating impactful educational experiences for both young people and adults. The organisation’s mission centres on using creativity, storytelling, and innovative learning methods to drive social and behavioural change. At the heart of Collingwood’s work is a belief that learning should be engaging, dynamic, and memorable.
Collingwood delivers a wide range of educational programmes, combining live and digital formats to suit diverse audiences and settings. Their work includes live theatre-based sessions and interactive workshops that provide in-person engagement, often within schools or community spaces. These experiences are designed not just to inform, but to inspire meaningful discussion and personal reflection.
Among these initiatives are innovative road safety programmes, tailored for specific age groups. Dead End, aimed at older students (Years 11–13), uses immersive theatre to challenge risky behaviours such as drink-driving and speeding. Split Second, for Year 7 students, combines live performance and workshops to highlight the dangers of distraction and poor decision-making. A brand-new digital programme for Year 9, inspired by real stories from young people, encourages students to reflect on their own experiences and make safer choices on the roads. Together, these projects support the Vision Zero goal of eliminating serious road incidents through early intervention and behaviour change, demonstrating how creative learning can drive safer choices and long-term impact.
‘This was a good way to learn about road safety because it showed what would happen instead of just saying it, and it made me realise the consequences that could occur without having to actually experience them ourselves.’ - Year 11 Student
Come and visit Collingwood at the exhibition to discover more about these unique road safety programmes and explore how creative learning can inspire safer choices for young people.
