Presentation: Driving and Vision: Are we doing enough?
The current rules on driving don’t require most drivers to ever have another check of their vision, indeed it is estimated that 1.5 million drivers have never had a formal eye test. Safe driving depends on good vision and with an estimated 3,000 fatal or serious injuries caused by vision related incidents are we doing enough?

Paul’s presentation will cover what an eye examination entails and why is more important than some might think, before exploring what could be done to improve safety and also how that might benefit society as a whole. Especially as 50% of all sight loss is preventable!
