It’s Not Just a Horse
Following several catastrophic collisions involving horses on the roads, the British Horse Society approached National Roads Policing- Operations, Investigation and Intelligence (NARPOII) and the National Centre for Applied Learning Technologies (NCALT) to provide an educational training film for police officers attending the scene of a serious RTC involving a ridden horse or carriage horse.
The film is introduced by Chief Constable Jo Shiner (Sussex Police) and gives practical and essential advice to police officers who will be first at the scene, or involved in investigating serious incidents involving horses. By the time of the conference the film will be on the police training platform and hopefully also available to National Highways officers.
