Implementing Vision Zero – lessons learned so far

While Vision Zero or Safe Systems approaches to road safety are not new in the international sense, in the UK their adoption is relatively novel and growing in popularity at a local level.

Embarking on a Vision Zero or Safe Systems approach is a commitment both politically and professionally and a journey Cambridgeshire and Peterborough embarked upon in adopting a new Vision Zero strategy in 2020.

Two years on, this presentation will outline some of the successes, challenges and lessons learned on the journey so far, in the hope of informing others already on, or looking to start their own journey.
