What we can learn about deprivation from STATS19?
We know that there are a number of ways in which road traffic risk is experienced differently by different communities, and that deprivation appears to augment risk for certain groups of road users (children, pedestrians, e-scooter riders etc.)
This presentation highlights the ways in which publicly available data (STATS19, IMD) help us to understand the contribution deprivation makes to risk among these road user groups and how further analysis can offer deeper insights if we use additional sources of data to explore a wider array of socio-economic factors.
