THINK! update
An update on the Department for Transport’s national THINK! road safety campaigns, including latest insight and campaign plans for this year.
Laura Butterfield, Head of Marketing, Department of Transport
Laura has recently taken on the Head of Marketing role at the Department of Transport, starting in June this year. She leads behaviour change campaigns predominantly involving paid-for advertising and marketing, but also working closely with stakeholders, partners and managing brand channels to reach target audiences.
This includes the department’s flagship road safety campaign THINK!, addressing national road safety issues with a core audience of 17-24 year old men, who are four times more likely to be killed or seriously injured on the road than any other age group.
Laura has a background in marketing and behaviour change campaigns. She previously worked at the Home Office, leading campaigns across issues including Violence Against Women and Girls, Fraud, Knife Crime, Immigration and Police Recruitment. Her communications career began in the charity sector and entertainment industry.
