This presentation will demonstrate how VAS have moved from being simple radar activated, to more advanced external sensor activated, and the development work around in-vehicle messaging which is currently on demo. All focussed around improving the ways in which motorists are educated by receiving roadside messages.

Olly Samways, Sales Director, Westcotec

Olly Samways is Sales Director for intelligent traffic safety systems manufacturer Westcotec. Olly started at Westcotec almost 10 years ago as an apprentice in highway electrical engineering, moving up quickly through the company before finding his true vocation in the sales and marketing department.

Armed with production and technical knowledge, Olly has been instrumental in helping Westcotec become the UK market leaders in their field, as well as increasing overseas exports.

Westcotec pride themselves on designing and manufacturing a truly British product, exceeding all of the latest legislation for highway electrical products. In 2018, Westcotec became an employee owned company which has enabled the team to push the boundaries by utilising the latest innovations to improve safety on the roads and subsequently helping to reduce road deaths.
