Presentation: ‘Drive Safely for Longer’
Launched in February 2016, ‘Drive Safely for Longer’ is a two-hour course being delivered across Merseyside by approved driving instructors (ADIS) to help enhance the practical skills of drivers aged 65 years and over. The course provides the chance to brush up on observation skills, learn how to cope with the mistakes of other road users and address any concerns older drivers have. The ADIs also discuss issues including eyesight and insurance with the drivers, before setting off on a drive in the driver’s own vehicle.
