TMS Consultancy: Active Travel Workshop, Binley Cycleway
TMS has created a 360 degree video of the Binley Cycleway route being cycled, displayed via a screen. This video footage gives a much better experience of what it would be like to cycle the route, in comparison to simply walking it or doing a site visit at various points.
The aim of the workshop is to work in groups to identify hazards, defects and inconsistencies along the route.
Participants work through the video stopping it at various points to highlight the hazards, defects and inconsistencies that TMS’s team of engineers have reported, and discuss each one, along with potential remedial recommendations.
A review of the route is currently being undertaken by Coventry City Council, details of which should be available to share with delegates at NRSC 2026.
