46 school streets in 18 months: lessons learnt in Lewisham

Lewisham Council’s road safety team has delivered 46 school street restrictions across 37 schools in the last 18 months– with varied success and a number of lessons learned.

In this presentation, Liz Brooker, Lewisham’s road safety and sustainable transport manager, will talk through the process and candidly outline where things went well, and what she would do differently based on what she now knows.

The intention is to provide invaluable insight for any road safety teams about to embark on their school streets journey.
