Katherine Williamson, Head, Strategy and Roads Investigation, Department for Transport

Katherine is the lead for strategy and investigation in the Road Safety Division the Department for Transport. Her portfolio leads work on developing the new Road Safety Strategic Framework and the award-winning Safer Roads Fund. She has also supported work to evidence the need for the new Road Safety Investigation Branch.

Previously Katherine has worked as a statistician in DfT where she held a portfolio across road safety analysis, including co-chair for the STATS19 Review, the DfT lead for CRASH and analytical support to the Roads Policing Review. Before this she worked as an analyst in other departments.
