ilm Software is delighted to be exhibiting at the National Road Safety Conference 2026, where we will be showcasing our new School Crossing Patrol Management System, designed specifically to support local authorities in managing this vital road safety service.
School Crossing Patrol services can be complex to coordinate. Authorities need to manage patrol staff, crossing sites, operating times, absence and cover arrangements, training, compliance, equipment, warning lights, site assessments and the day-to-day challenge of ensuring crossings are appropriately staffed.
Our new platform brings these activities together within one modern, easy-to-use system, giving managers and supervisors a clear view of their service and the information they need to make informed decisions.
Built using the latest web and cloud technologies, the system supports the complete School Crossing Patrol function, including patrol and site management, session scheduling, absence and cover, mobile and standby patrols, training and skills, DBS information, uniform and equipment, health and safety, site surveys, case notes and management reporting. School crossing warning lights can also be managed within the system, including locations, operating schedules, inspections, maintenance and faults.
The platform recognises that every local authority operates its service differently. It provides a central, auditable source of information while reducing reliance on spreadsheets, disconnected systems and manual processes.
