Suzette Davenport

Originally from North Yorkshire, Suzette Davenport started her policing career with West Mercia Police and has worked in a variety of roles in a number of Police Forces across the UK.

In 2011 she became ACPO’s (now NPCC) first female lead for roads policing, and in February 2013 was appointed chief constable of Gloucestershire Constabulary.

Suzette is the UK council member of TISPOL, the European roads policing network, and was vice president of the British Association for Women in Policing for eight years.

She is passionate about road safety and is currently chair of the Road Safety Trust. She believes that all police officers and staff have an enforcement and educational role to play in ensuring that fewer people are killed and seriously injured on the roads.
