A series of presentations from national road safety stakeholders covering the latest thinking with regard to ‘enforcement’, ‘education’, ‘engineering’ (roads and vehicles) and ‘evidence’.

Speed dating for road safety professionals (3.30 - 4.45pm)
A series of quick fire presentations (5 mins) by road safety practitioners, backed by poster presentations, outlining schemes and interventions they have, or are currently, implementing. All presentations will relate to road safety education, enforcement or engineering and be backed by evaluation/evidence.

Hot topic: Can ’Safe Drive, Stay Alive’ style interventions change behaviour and save lives? (9.00 - 10.00am)
Following on from the 2017 National Conference, when there was a passionate discussion as part of the Question Time session, this session will feature three 10-minute presentations, followed by questions from the audience.

Focus on cycling (10.00 - 11.15am)
There has for some while been debate among road safety and active travel professionals about balancing the benefits of sustainable modes in terms of reducing air pollution and improving public health, with concerns about road safety. In addition, the current government review and casualty statistics make this a topical item. With this in mind, this session will comprise a series of presentations covering cycling-related topics.
